What the archive includes

7a0 is a selective playable archive rather than a complete encyclopedia of every World Cup participant. The build process synchronizes the national-team and tournament-squad index used by the game, then calculates the current number of represented teams, editions, squads, player profiles and squad records from those files.

The World Cup teams database and the tournament-year directory distinguish the size of the historical competition from the number of squads currently playable in 7a0. A missing standalone guide does not mean a team is absent from football history.

How historical facts are checked

Tournament hosts, champions, final scores, field sizes and major results are checked against official tournament records and match reports wherever available. Country, tournament and squad guides use those facts as a base, then add original explanations of eras, roles, tactical context and how the material connects to the game.

When reliable references conflict, the page should describe the uncertainty or avoid presenting the disputed detail as settled. Historical text may be revised when stronger evidence becomes available.

Playable squad data and ratings

The game data stores tournament-specific squad entries with player names, shirt numbers, eligible positions, ratings and legend markers. A player may appear in more than one tournament squad, so the number of squad records is larger than the number of unique player profiles.

Ratings, eligible positions, legend labels, tactical benchmarks and simulation values are editorial game decisions. They are not official FIFA ratings, objective historical rankings or predictions of real matches. Values can change after data review, balance testing or a well-supported correction.

Why only some entries have standalone guides

A database row is not automatically turned into an indexable article. A standalone country, tournament or squad guide is published only when it has enough original context to answer a distinct user question instead of merely repeating a name, year and player list.

• Country guides compare meaningful generations, championship history, archive coverage and cross-era lineup choices.
• Tournament guides explain the field, groups or stages, decisive teams, players, results and the relationship between historical participants and playable squads.
• Squad guides include campaign results, a verified historical lineup where available, tactical identity, contributor roles, complete playable data and related historical pages.
• Thin placeholders, automatically generated doorway pages and pages with no added editorial value are not intentionally submitted for indexing.

Updates, corrections and review dates

Build-time synchronization updates the playable data files and recalculates archive statistics. Editorial pages are reviewed separately because a data refresh can change a squad identifier or archive count without changing the historical explanation on the page.

Independence and attribution

7a0 is an independent, unofficial football game. References to tournaments, teams and players identify historical subjects and do not imply endorsement by FIFA, national associations, clubs or represented players.

External sources support factual verification; their articles, photographs and databases are not republished as 7a0 content. Editorial summaries and the game system are created for this website.
